i think this song is so game-ost material. i love the melodious female voices occasionally throughout the song & the lead singer's haunting voice. the song is just plain awesome, and so goes for the lyrics. Translator's Notes on Filth in the Beauty:

1. 春 means spring and is usually pronounced "haru" when on its own, but Ruki uses the "shun" pronunciation, probably to better fit in with the rhythm of the song.

2. This song has TONS of symbolism in it. Here are a few ones I'd like to point out especially:

- the "confused crimson lotus flower": obviously represents the vagina of the daughter, who’s cries to be released are not heard by the rapist, thus “confused”. This ties in with the "Prohibited bud" he mentions later on.

- "Reckless driving cucumber": I don't think I need to point out what that one means. Anyone else think of hide when you read that?

- "bitter white jam": I don't think it could be any clearer. This, along with the strong overlaying theme of taboo and the forbidden tell us that Ruki is talking here about a father having sex - or, as is more likely, raping - his daughter. This is neatly tied off by the line "Sexual disgrace", which appears a few times throughout the song.

- It is clear that this is very much against the daughter's will, as is evident in the lines "please release me before breaking." and "In humiliation". In the end, the daughter decides that she has had enough, and kills the father, as we can see from "The final art is your dead face / Dad which fell to the trap".
